on the power of names

I've done my good deed for the day, and it's only 9:26am.

My co-worker Robin is going on a camping trip this weekend, and was mandated by her camping partner to bring "home-made treats". She told me about this yesterday, and we decided she should make zuccinni oatmeal cookes, becasue they are tasty, moister then your average oatmeal cookie, and don't need refridgeration. She tried one of the cookies I had made the night before and happened to have with me (really, the coincidence was weird) and went and grabbed a recipe of her own from online.

I looked over the recipe she found, and told her it was really differnt fromthe one I used, but seeing as it was a cookie recipe that involved oatmeal and zuccinni, it should be fine. Well...

Robin just brought me one of the cookies she made last night. wow, are they ever different from the cookies Reid and I made! First of all, her's smelled like fresh zuccinni, really. You had to really disect them to find any evidence of oatmeal, and over all they had a very bread-like quality. You could tell she was really unhappy with her not very oatmeal-cookie-like oatmeal cookies, until I told her to not think of them as cookies, but rather as "camping muffins". She perked up, took another bite of hers and said, "you know, if I think of it in terms of being a muffin, it's pretty good, huh, camping muffins."

and a new phrase was born :-)
